El artículo 40 del Decreto 700 de 1954 quedará así: Artículo 40. Anualmente los Magistrados del Tribunal Superior de Aduanas y sus Fiscales colaboradores practicarán visitas a los Jueces Superiores de Aduanas y a los Jueces Auxiliares de Instrucción Penal Aduanera para ejercer vigilancia y control sobre el funcionamiento de las respectivas oficinas, sin perjuicio de las visitas extraordinarias que pueda ordenar el Tribunal Superior de Aduanas, de oficio o a solicitud del Ministro de Justicia o del Procurador General de la Nación.
