A la muerte de un oficial o Suboficial de servicio activo, con quince o más años de servicio, sus parientes, en el orden preferencial y términos fijados en el artículo 48 de la Ley 2° de 1945, tendrá derecho a una pensión mensual pagadera por el Tesoro Público, que se liquidará en la forma prevista para el sueldo de retiro y sobre la asignación de actividad correspondiente al grado del éxito.
