º Planes alternativos. Conforme lo establece el artículo 87 de la Ley 100 de 1993, los afiliados al Régimen de Ahorro Individual podrán optar por planes alternativos de capitalización y de pensiones que sean autorizados por la Superintendencia Bancaria en los términos del presente Decreto. El ejercicio de esta opción implica que el empleador y el afiliado según corresponda, efectúen el pago de las cotizaciones obligatorias al plan alternativo respectivo. Los empleadores y los afiliados podrán efectuar cotizaciones voluntarias que se regirán por lo previsto en el correspondiente plan alternativo.
