Efecto de obtener informaciones, el Director de la Oficina podrá comunicarse directamente con los representantes o agentes colombianos permanentes ante la Zona Latinoamericana de Libre Comercio, con las Misiones Diplomáticas y Consulares del país, y con los organismos similares de otros países, pero las instrucciones sobre política comercial sólo podrán darse por intermedio del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.
