Funciones del Ministerio Público. El Procurador General de la Nación, por sí o por medio de sus agentes interviene en los procesos y ante las autoridades judiciales y administrativas, cuando sea necesario, en defensa del orden jurídico, del patrimonio público, o de los derechos y garantías fundamentales. Además de las intervenciones obligatorias definidas en la Ley, el Procurador General de la Nación, con apoyo del comite o comisión respectiva, fijara mediante acto administrativo general los criterios de intervención necesaria.
