Las embarcaciones de recreo de uso privado arribarán por los lugares habilitados por la Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales.Las formalidades aduaneras inherentes al arribo y al régimen se surtirán ante la autoridad aduanera del lugar de arribo. El turista adelantará directamente las formalidades aduaneras inherentes al proceso de llegada del medio de transporte y a la declaración del régimen; sin embargo, las formalidades relacionadas con el arribo o proceso de llegada, podrán ser realizadas por un agente marítimo y las inherentes al régimen aduanero, por un agente de aduanas.
