Las visas diplomática, oficial, de servicio, de cortesía, especial de residente para refugiados y asilados, ordinaria CIM, las tarjetas de tránsito, turismo, turismo con automóvil y el permiso especial de tránsito fronterizo están exentas del impuesto de timbre, de conformidad con las normas vigentes sobre la materia. Las visas temporal, ordinaria, de residente, de negocios, de estudiante y de turismo, estarán sujetas a las tarifas vigentes, sin perjuicio de lo dispuesto en los tratados, convenios, acuerdos y demás compromisos internacionales de la República.
