Declárese la presente Ley de Honores en conmemoración de los cien años de la consagración de Colombia a Jesucristo y a su Sagrado Corazón, consagración liderada por los diversos sectores de la Sociedad, el 22 de junio de 1902 como propuesta nacional de paz, luego de la guerra civil de los mil días, el 21 de noviembre del mismo año.
