El Departamento Nacional de Planeación - Unidad de Inversiones y Finanzas Públicas realizará el seguimiento financiero y presupuestal de los programas y proyectos de inversión pública como complemento al seguimiento presupuestal que efectúa la Dirección General del Presupuesto Nacional. Los órganos que conforman el Presupuesto General de la Nación deberán enviar la información presupuestal o financiera que el Departamento Nacional de Planeación considere necesaria para realizar el seguimiento y control financiero a la inversión.
