Artículo treinta y tres. Crease, en cada Departamento, el cargo de Juez Departamental de Garantías Sociales, que será escogido, para períodos de dos años, por la Corte Suprema de Justicia, de ternas que le pase el Presidente de la República, y cuya remuneración, que será pagada por los Tesoros departamentales, no podrá ser inferior a la de Juez Superior. El Juez Departamental de Garantías Sociales tendrá jurisdicción en el territorio del respectivo Departamento, y en las Intendencias y Comisarías que señale el Gobierno. Además de las funciones especiales que le atribuye el presente Decreto, dicho Juez tendrá todas las que corresponden al Jefe de la Sección de Justicia de las Gobernaciones o a quienes haga sus veces.
