Si no se hiciere el pago en el tiempo y forma previstos en el artículo anterior, el juez o funcionario convertirá la multa en arresto, a razón de un día por cada dos pesos o fracción; pero en caso de multas disciplinarias, cualquiera que sea su cuantía, el arresto no podrá exceder de seis meses.
