El endoso es especial cuando expresa la persona a quien, o a cuya orden debe pagarse el instrumento y el endoso de dicho endosatario es necesario para toda ulterior negociación de dicho instrumento. Un endoso en blanco no especifica endosatario y el instrumento así endosado es pagadero al portador y puede transferirse por la entrega.
