Los suplentes reemplazan a los principales en las faltas accidentales, en las temporales y también en las absolutas mientras no se posesione el que debe reemplazarlo.

Cuando haya dos o más Jueces Superiores en un mismo Distrito Judicial se reemplazan entre sí los principales en las faltas accidentales, antes de llamar a los respectivos suplentes.
