Vigencia de los permisos. Los permisos de estudio con fines de investigación científica en diversidad biológica podrán otorgarse hasta por cinco (5) años, excepto aquellas investigaciones cuyo propósito sea proyectar obras o trabajos para el futuro aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales, en cuyo caso dicho permiso podrá otorgarse hasta por dos (2) años, de conformidad con el artículo 56 del Decreto-ley 2811 de 1974. Estos términos se contarán a partir de la expedición del permiso de estudio y podrán ser renovados previa solicitud del interesado.
