Se atribuye esta banda para el servicio de radionavegación marítima a titulo primario. comparte la banda con el servicio de radiolocalización el cual se atribuye a titulo primario. En la banda de 9200 a 9300 MHz el servicio marítimo de radionavegación esta limitado a radares costeros. En la banda de 9200 a 9300 MHz pueden utilizarse transpondedores de búsqueda y salvamento (SART) teniendo debidamente en cuenta la recomendación correspondiente del UIT-R.
