Al oficial o suboficial de las fuerzas militares en servicio activo que se encuentre en el exterior, se le liquidarán en caso de retiro, los tres (3) meses de alta y demás prestaciones sociales, en moneda colombiana, sobre la base de los haberes que recibirían si se encontrase prestando sus servicios en la guarnición de Bogotá. En caso de muerte del oficial o suboficial, se procederá en igual forma para el reconocimiento de las prestaciones a favor de sus beneficiarios.
