A partir de la vigencia del presente decreto las funciones de intervención en el Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud sobre las Empresas Promotoras de Salud y las Instituciones Prestadoras de Salud cualquiera que sea su naturaleza jurídica, se ejercerán por la Superintendencia Nacional de Salud, sin perjuicio de las demás facultades atribuidas al Ministerio de Salud en el Decreto 1922 de 1994.
