Funcionará en la capital de la República una Dirección del Derecho de Autor que tendrá a su cargo la Oficina de Registro y las demás dependencias necesarias para la ejecución y vigilancia del cumplimiento de la presente Ley y de las demás disposiciones concordantes que dicte el Gobierno Nacional en uso de su facultad ejecutiva. La Dirección del Derecho de Autor es la "Autoridad Competente" a que se hace alusión en diferentes partes de esta Ley (artículos 45, 46, 47, 54, 59, 85 y 88 etc.).
