Establécese en cada Gobernación una Junta General de Estadística, compuesta de tres miembros principales y tres suplentes, nombrados por el respectivo Gobernador. Dicha junta funcionará presidida por el Secretario de Gobierno, dirigirá el servicio del ramo en el Departamento, tendrá sesiones a lo menos dos veces al mes y revisará los documentos reunidos antes de que se remitan a la Oficina Central.
