La Policía Nacional, a través de la Unidad Policial para la Edificación de la Paz (UNIPEP), cumplirá la función de protección a los integrantes del MMV, sin perjuicio de la colaboración armónica que puedan prestar las demás instituciones de seguridad del Estado, entre otras, la Unidad Nacional de Protección.
