Toda embarcación de matrícula colombiana debe izar en lugar visible el pabellón nacional y llevará su nombre marcado en cada lado de la proa, en la popa y en lugares destacados de los costados de la caseta de gobierno. En la popa llevará además, el nombre del puerto de matricula.
