Art. 54. El alcohol y aguardiente que se den á la venta deben ser de buenas calidades, en términos que éstos no bajen de 20º y aquél pueda encontrarlo el comercio desde 36º hasta 40º; quedando la Junta Directiva ampliamente facultada para inspeccionar las operaciones que el arrendatario efectúe en la producción de ellos.

Parágrafo

La infracción de lo prevenido en este artículo será castigada con una multa de cien á doscientos pesos oro, que impondrá el Prefecto de la respectiva Provincia ó su representante legal á los rematadores, quienes pueden apelar de esta resolución ante el Gobernador.
