Los Gobernadores, Intendentes, Comisarios y Alcaldes, a través de los comandantes de las unidades policiales, podrán organizar en sus jurisdicciones cuerpos de policía cívica que colaboren con las misiones específicas de la Policía Nacional, bajo la dirección y control del respectivo comandante de policía.
