En caso de que el corresponsal realice por cuenta propia operaciones exclusivas de las entidades vigiladas por la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, se hará acreedor a las medidas y sanciones previstas en el artículo 108 del Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema Financiero, los Decretos 2920 de 1982 y 1981 de 1988, el artículo 316 de la Ley 599 de 2000 (Nuevo Código Penal) y demás normas relacionadas.
