A partir de la vigencia de esta Ley, las cauciones judiciales que los obligados a prestarlas deban o prefieran hacerlo en moneda legal colombiana, constituirán el respectivo depósito en el Banco Popular cuando exista Sucursal o Agencia del mismo en la ciudad en donde debe hacerse la consignación.
