Todo banco será responsable a un depositante por el pago, que aquél haga de un cheque falso o cuya cantidad se haya aumentado, salvo que dicho depositante no notifique al banco, dentro de un año después de que se le devuelva el comprobante de tal pago, que el cheque así pagado era falso o que la cantidad de él se había aumentado.
