En caso de falta accidental del Presidente de la República y en caso de falta absoluta, mientras se verifica nueva elección, ejercerá el Poder Ejecutivo, por su orden, el primero ó el segundo Designado que el Congreso elegirá cada año.

Parágrafo

Cuando por cualquiera causa no hubiere hecho el Congreso elección de Designados, conservarán el carácter de tales los anteriormente elegidos.
