El patrimonio del Instituto Nacional de Nutrición estará formado por los activos del actual Instituto Nacional de Nutrición, los aportes que reciba para su sostenimiento, las donaciones que a su favor hagan las entidades públicas y privadas y otros. Para su sostenimiento, el Instituto Nacional de Nutrición recibirá del Banco de la República una participación sobre la venta de la sal, equivalente a dos centavos ($ 0.02) por cada libra de sal yodada de las salinas terrestres, vendida por el Banco para el consumo humano.
