Antes de instalar cualquier matadero se solicitará la aprobación del Ministerio de Salud o su autoridad delegada para su localización, diseño y construcción. Igualmente, toda remodelación o ampliación deberá ser aprobada por el Ministerio de Salud o su autoridad delegada.

Parágrafo

En la aprobación a que se refiere este artículo se tendrán en cuenta las especificaciones existentes sobre zonificación en cada localidad, siempre que no contravenga lo establecido en la presente Ley y sus reglamentaciones.
