º Los Bancos hipotecarios no podrán hacer otras operaciones que las de dar préstamo sobre hipotecas especiales recibir anualidades para constituir capitales en favor de las personas que los consignen; recibir capitales para convertirlos en rentas anuales á favor de las personas que los consignen; emitir cédulas o billetes, sean al portador, á la orden o en nombre de personas determinadas, garantizados con los títulos hipotecarios adquiridos por el Banco; comprar, vender, dar y recibir en arrendamiento fincas raíces por cuenta ajena, y administrar, mientras se enajenan, las fincas raíces que lleguen á recibir en pago de sus acreencias.
