Artículo quinto. Los préstamos a mediano o largo plazo que otorguen las corporaciones financieras para el fomento y desarrollo industrial, deberán destinarse al establecimiento o al ensanche de fábricas y complementos de éstas; a la adquisición de materias primas destinadas a la transformación; a la elaboración y ensamble de productos y partes, y a otros destinos directamente relacionados con las anteriores actividades y sus similares.
