En la entrada del Colegio de San José se colocará una placa de mármol con esta leyenda:

"El Congreso de Colombia al doctor Rafael María Giraldo, valeroso militar, ejemplar educador y modelo de gobernantes. Su vida es un ejemplo para la juventud colombiana".
