Todas las lenguas nativas existentes en el país, a partir de la vigencia de la presente ley, quedan incorporadas a la Lista Representativa de Manifestaciones de Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial prevista en la Ley 1185 de 2008 , sin previo cumplimiento del procedimiento previsto en el inciso 2° del literal b) del artículo 4° de la Ley 397 de 1997 modificado por la Ley 1185 de 2008 . Las lenguas nativas quedan por consiguiente amparadas por el Régimen Especial de Protección y de Salvaguardia reconocido por dicho ordenamiento.
