°. Mecanismos para universalización . El Ministerio de la Protección Social fijará los mecanismos necesarios para consolidar la universalización de la afiliación al régimen subsidiado del Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud. Estos mecanismos incluyen, entre otros, la asignación directa de usuarios a las EPS del régimen subsidiado y la afiliación única electrónica, sin perjuicio del ejercicio del derecho a la libre elección.
