El Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación es un organismo del sector central de la rama ejecutiva en el orden nacional, rector del sector y del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (SNCTI), encargado de formular, orientar, dirigir, coordinar, ejecutar, implementar y controlar la política del Estado en esta materia, teniendo concordancia con los planes y programas de desarrollo, de acuerdo a la Ley 2162 de 2021.
