La ubicación en hogar de paso es la ubicación inmediata y provisional del niño, niña o adolescente con familias que forman parte de la red de hogares de paso. Procede la medida cuando no aparezcan los padres, parientes o las personas responsables de su cuidado y atención.

La ubicación en Hogar de Paso es una medida transitoria, y su duración no podrá exceder de ocho (8) días hábiles, término en el cual la autoridad competente debe decretar otra medida de protección.
