Un retrato al óleo del doctor Quijano Wallis será colocado en uno de los salones de la Gobernación del Departamento del Cauca, con esta inscripción: "El Congreso de Colombia al doctor José María Quijano Wallis". Este retrato será costeado por el Tesoro Nacional, para lo cual se votara la partida correspondiente en la Ley de Apropiaciones de la actual vigencia.
