De la clasificación y calificación. La clasificación de las instituciones consiste en la determinación del grupo y especialidad que le corresponde, según la, naturaleza de los servicios que pueden prestar y contratar, en las áreas de promoción, prevención, tratamiento y rehabilitación. La calificación consiste en la asignación de un puntaje, índice o coeficiente que evalúe su capacidad técnicocientífica, operativa y financiera con el fin de determinar, de acuerdo con la suma total del puntaje, la capacidad de contratación. (Artículo 66 del Decreto 1088 de 1991)
