De la obligatoriedad de su contratación . Con el objeto de garantizar una efectiva protección de sus bienes y demás intereses patrimoniales, las entidades públicas a que se refiere el artículo 1º de este estatuto, cuando a ello hubiere lugar, deberán contratar los correspondientes seguros, atendiendo a las reglas consagradas en los artículos siguientes.
