La licencia de Segunda categoría tendrá una vigencia de cinco (5) años, contados a partir de la fecha de su expedición, renovable por una sola vez, siempre y cuando la licencia esté vigente al momento de solicitarse la misma. Vencido el término de renovación sin que el interesado hubiere presentado solicitud para obtener licencia de primera categoría, perderá el derecho a usar los indicativos de llamada asignados y la autorización para el funcionamiento de la estación.
