°. Organización de la red de laboratorios de salud pública al interior del departamento o el distrito. En aquellos casos en que la población a cubrir sea excesiva y resulte insuficiente la capacidad del respectivo laboratorio, el departamento o el distrito pueden generar una infraestructura de laboratorios de salud pública en los niveles municipales o locales respectivamente, bien sea por especialidades o delegando la totalidad de las actividades para una área geográfica al interior del departamento o del distrito.
