El Registro Nacional de Zonas Deforestadas será administrado por el Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam) y se integrará al Sistema de Monitoreo de Bosques y Carbono (SMByC) como uno de sus módulos. El Ideam se encargará de disponer la información correspondiente al monitoreo de las áreas deforestadas.
