La Nación se asocia al justo regocijo de los habitantes del Valle del Cauca por la terminación de la carretera de Cali a buenaventura, y considera digna de la gratitud nacional la cooperación económica, fiscal y humana, que el pueblo vallecaucano, y de manera especial el municipio y ciudadanía de Cali, y el departamento del valle del cauca, han consagrado a través de mas de tres lustros para la ejecución de tan transcendental obra.
