El Capitán del buque puede abstenerse de admitir a bordo al piloto práctico que se presente en estado de embriaguez o bajo el efecto de sustancias psicotrópicas. De inmediato solicitará a la Agencia Marítima su reemplazo y dentro de las doce (12) horas siguientes presentará la respectiva protesta a la Capitanía de Puerto informando lo sucedido.
