Para los efectos de esta Ley se computa como periodo de Independencia, el comprendido entre los años de 1810 y 1826 inclusive o hasta 1827 inclusive también, si se trata de servicios prestaos en la Marina de Guerra.

A los militares colombianos se les abonará las campañas y acciones de guerra del Perú en que hubiesen tomado parte.
