La prescripción de la acción penal se interrumpe con la formulación de la imputación.
Producida la interrupción del término prescriptivo, este comenzará a correr de nuevo por un término igual a la mitad del señalado en el artículo 83 del Código Penal. En este evento no podrá ser inferior a tres (3) años.
