De acuerdo a lo preceptuado en el inciso 2° del artículo 3° del Decreto-ley 088 de 1976, se entiende por educación no formal la que se imparte sin sujeción a períodos de secuencia regulada. La educación no formal no conduce a grados ni a títulos. La educación no formal podrá realizarse como complemento de la educación formal y será fomentada por el Estado.
