El Ministerio de Minas y Energía podrá modificar las áreas de metales preciosos de que trata este Decreto y sustraer de la reserva especial parte de las mismas para que se sometan al régimen normal, cuando de acuerdo con los resultados de los estudios adelantados, se demuestre que no es viable una explotación a mediana o gran escala.
