El Congreso tributa, por tanto, un voto de gratitud a estos sufridos i abnegados estranjeros, que hicieron la campaña desde Angostura a Boyacá, que con sus brillantes cargas i heroicas resistencias destrozaron en esa memorable batalla el centró del Ejército español, que en Carabobo inmortalizaron su bravura i su disciplina, así como más tarde, en las campañas del sur de Colombia, Ecuador i Perú, i bajo el nombre de Albion, continuaron sus servicios en aquellas rudas i grandes batallas, cubriéndose, especialmente en Pichincha, de gloria al destrozar con heroismo eminente los Cuerpos de Aragón.
