° Régimen legal. Las empresas de vigilancia privada, para su constitución y funcionamiento quedan sujetas a las disposiciones contempladas en el Código de Comercio o en la legislación sobre cooperativas, y los trabajadores, al Código Sustantivo del Trabajo, al presente Decreto y demás disposiciones que regulen la vigilancia privada.

Parágrafo

Las cooperativas autorizadas quedan obligadas a prestar el servicio de vigilancia privada directamente por los asociados que se encuentren debidamente inscritos en el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Cooperativas o sus respectivas seccionales.
